The project entailed the redesign of a historical building operating as a boutique hotel. The redesign required the rebranding of the hotel under a new name and architectural design.

The concept captures a snapshot of Canadian beauty in a multi-dimensional destination, where guest reinterprets nature and culture to the native landscape of what Canada has to offer; drawing attributes from the surrounding environment Contrasting elements in the design evoke industrial familiarity, thus creating the in-between narrative as an extension of home and destination.
The First Floor was designed to include a large gathering reception and lounge to invite guests to experience all parts of the hotel. The spiral staircase is designed as the main lobby area's central feature, accompanied by the treelike columns, creating a forest-like initial impression of the hotel. The first floor is divided into two guest suite areas, the Rapids wing -- the hotel's mid-to-economy suites, and the cabin wing -- the hotel's mid-to-high suites for guest options of the lux and accessible suites.
The Cabin suites are designed to provide luxury amenities and views for guests. The suites are designed to be reminiscent of Canadian northern cabins using various natural materials and focusing on wood finishes. These suites are also used to expose snapshots of indigenous culture, with textiles and patterns used in bedding and seating accessories.
The Spa is designed to be a quiet luxury retreat of solitude and exposure to the territory's natural elements as the extension of the localization. Acoustical considerations are addressed by providing guests private areas surrounded by plush fabrics and private sound systems of personal control and preference.
The branding is designed to associate with the hotel's luxury elegance while maintaining cultural identity and reference. It captures the character, crafted and cultural essence of VIA hotel. The logo targets our more luxury-driven clients while being a representation of origins and cultural background.
Designed as a sub-brand, this brand creates an association with health for the health-conscious guest.
Supplying Healthy pre-packaged meals for the guest that needs a quick bite using a self-help kiosk.
